Hardwood flooring specialists in Tennessee & Texas
Mobile Floors & More has installed hardwood floors throughout Tennessee & Texas since 2015, from historic homes near downtown North Little Rock to new builds out past Maumelle. We supply and install [solid hardwood](/real-solid-hardwood-flooring), [engineered hardwood](/engineered-hardwood), and custom parquet from major domestic and European mills.
Because we buy directly from those mills, you get close-to-wholesale pricing on the same floors the big-box stores sell at retail markup. Our in-house crew handles every step: removal, subfloor leveling, installation, staining, and finishing.

Solid vs. engineered - how to choose
Both are real wood. The difference is how the board is built, and which one makes sense depends heavily on your subfloor and our local climate.
- Solid hardwood - 3/4" plank of 100% wood, nailed down, can be refinished 5-7 times over its lifetime. Best on plywood subfloors, common in the older pier-and-beam homes around Little Rock and North Little Rock.
- Engineered hardwood - a real wood top layer on a stable plywood core that doesn't expand and contract with humidity the way solid wood can. Best over concrete slab foundations, which is most new construction in Conway, Cabot, and Bryant, plus below grade and with radiant heat.
- Wide planks (5"-7") - a modern look available in both solid and engineered construction
- Parquet patterns - chevron, herringbone, custom inlays - available in solid or engineered

Red and white oak make up most of what we install - they're durable, take stain beautifully, and age well. Maple gives a cleaner, more uniform grain. Hickory is the hardest domestic wood and holds up well in active households. Walnut and cherry bring richer, darker tones for more formal rooms.
Stain options run from natural blonde and whitewashed to grey, fumed, and dark espresso. We bring sample boards to your home so you see the actual stain on the actual wood in your actual light, not a photo in a catalog.

Professional installation and refinishing
We install nail-down, glue-down, and floating hardwood depending on what your subfloor allows, with acclimation time built into the schedule for our humid Arkansas summers. Every job includes moisture testing, subfloor leveling, baseboard removal and reinstall, and full disposal of the old flooring. If your existing hardwood just needs new life, our [hardwood refinishing](/hardwood-refinishing) crew offers dustless sanding, custom staining, and water-based polyurethane finishes that cure in days, not weeks.

Hardwood Flooring - frequently asked questions
Most whole-home installs run 2 to 4 days. Refinishing existing hardwood adds another 3 to 5 days for sanding, staining, and finishing.
Engineered hardwood works well in kitchens and below-grade basements - the plywood core stays stable when humidity shifts, which matters through our Arkansas summers. We don't recommend solid hardwood in either spot.
A quality solid hardwood floor can last 80-100 years and be refinished 5-7 times along the way. Engineered hardwood typically lasts 30-50 years and can usually be refinished once or twice.
We bring sample boards in your wood species and color so we can match within a shade or two. For a seamless blend, we can refinish your existing hardwood in the same visit so the whole floor reads as one - see examples in our [reviews](/reviews).
